DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) — A Texoma outdoorsman has been the star of his own hunting and fishing show for more than 10 years now.

It all started when Michael Harrell chased after his boat that drifted into the cold waters of Lake Durant 24 years ago.

On the verge of drowning, Harrell made a promise that he would devote his life to the Lord.

"We use hunting and fishing as that ministry tool," he said. "It's one of the only few things that I'm very good at. We like to show you what really happens in the deer woods or on the water. "

Harrell's program, Surrender Outdoors, is broadcast Saturday mornings at 6 o'clock on KTEN.
