ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Ardmore is another step closer to hosting a new hydrogen fuel facility.

An agreement between the city and Woodside Energy will let the city work on engineering plans for a waste water transmission line to the plant.

The facility's location is planned for the corner of Plainview Road and 12th Avenue, just north of the OG&E substation.

"To supply the wastewater from our current treatment plant across town will be approximately five miles or so," said Ardmore City Manager Kevin Boatright. "We have not finalized what they call the 'water supply agreement,' which is like the final agreement."

Woodside Energy will reimburse the city of Ardmore for the engineering plans up to a maximum of $1.5 million.
