ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Ardmore police are looking for a man they're calling a "primary suspect" in a drive-by shooting that happened early Monday morning.

Investigators identified 18-year-old Kendrick Knight as a person who fled from officers after 25 to 30 rounds were fired into a home in the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard at around 1 a.m. Monday.

One victim of the shooting was airlifted to a hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, for treatment. We are told that person was in stable condition.

"We're looking for Kendrick Knight in reference to the shooting where he is wanted for questioning," said Ardmore police Sgt. Jake Glazener. "We don't have a warrant for his arrest, but he's a person of interest that we need to speak to in reference to this crime and what happened. We aren't ready to release those names yet, but we do believe there were multiple people inside the vehicle. We don't know how many people were shooting at the residence, but we do believe there were multiple people involved."

Glazener added that this was an isolated incident and said there is no threat to public safety.

Call police if you have any information about where Knight can be found.

"Sometimes people will come in on their own free will and speak with us — maybe to clear their name," Glazener said. "With people who are not cooperative, we have to put out a media release and have the public help us find these people, and that is what we've done with Mr. Knight."
