Kingston woman dies after Jeep hit by train

BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — A vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Kingston woman was struck by a train in Bryan County on Saturday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Eva Backenstoes was driving a Jeep Wrangler Saturday afternoon when she tried to cross the railroad tracks at North Lone Oak Road southeast of Durant.
There are no signals at the crossing, OHP said.
Bryan County EMS pronounced Backenstoes dead at the scene.
