(KTEN) — Power lines went down in Thursday night's storm, leaving more than 13,000 OG&E customers in the dark.
Around half of those outages were in southern Oklahoma.
Power is expected to be restored to most customers by 10 p.m. Friday.
"There are some assessments in the Marietta area that are continuing this afternoon, so folks should stay away from downed power lines," said OG&E spokesperson Christi Woodworth. "Remember, as we are repairing the grid we may need access to their property, so don't be surprised. Our folks will always knock on the door and let them know they are there, but it would be great if they secure their animals."
Power is expected to be fully restored in Love County by Saturday night.
