RINGLING, Okla. (KTEN) -- Ringling High School principal and head football coach Philip Koons  will be returning to the district.

Koons, who was placed on paid administrative leave in February, is the subject of a probe by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation after students alleged they had been harassed and bullied by him.

Tod Mercer, an attorney representing victims in the case, confirmed to KTEN on Saturday that his clients say they were informed by a Ringling Public Schools staff member that Superintendent  Kent Southward announced Koons would be reinstated as the high school principal and head football coach on June 1.
