Sherman man sentenced for aggravated assault

SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — Sherman resident Ryan Edd was sentenced to 45 years in prison for his conviction after being convicted on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
In January, a call for help to Sherman police came in about a man who was shot in the head.
Police arrested Edd, 35.
The Grayson County District Attorney's office said he will be required to serve at least 22 1/2 years before being eligible for parole.
