(KTEN) — A 33-year-old Denison woman will spend 35 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Alyssa Haratyk admitted that she did nothing to protect a child under age 14 who she knew was being molested by her husband last year. She also admitted to participating in the abuse.

Haratyk will be required to register as a sex offender for life.

Her husband, Leon Haratyk, was sentenced to 30 years earlier this year.

“We are satisfied that justice has been served by the sentences in these cases," said District Attorney Brett Smith in a written statement. "This child will never be threatened by either of these defendants again."
