TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma (KTEN) - Murray State College softball punched their ticket to the NJCAA Division 2 World Series in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The Lady Aggies are familiar with the big dance. Last year, they made it to the championship game, but lost to Phoenix College

Murray State have an unblemished 56-0 record this season. They're the only undefeated team who qualified through a district championship.

In the players eyes, it's clear why they've been so dominant.

"Honestly, I think it's our bond this year," sophomore pitcher Alexa Hopkins said. "We're a really close-knit group. We've bonded over different things, and we build each other up rather than break each other down and gripe at each other."

"I don't think there's a single person on our team that plays for themselves," sophomore outfielder Remi West said. "Each of us play for the girl beside us, and there's not a selfish person on this team, so I think that is a big part of our success.

The Lady Aggies determine their bracket seeding and matchup Friday, May 19 at 10:00am ET.
