DENISON, Texas (KTEN) - The Denison Yellow Jackets concluded their spring football period on Monday with their spring game at Munson Stadium. Denison returns a lot of experience on the offensive line and will have a one-two punch of Jack Aleman and Grant Yerkes at running back.

"We came into it with a couple of goals, we wanted to get out of this healthy, we don't need anyone on crutches tonight, so that's an outstanding job as far as I'm concerned," said Denison head coach Brent Whitson. "We did a lot of learning this spring, got a lot better defensively and we needed to. I think you saw a different tackling football team tonight than you did last fall and I think that gives us a chance to make some noise."

Denison opens its season on August 25 against arch-rival Sherman.
