Ardmore High School's Allyson Potts and Madison Chavez sign letters of intent
ARDMORE, Oklahoma (KTEN) - Two more athletes signed to play at the next level. Ardmore girls standouts Allyson Potts and Madison Chavez will continue their careers in college.
Potts will be playing basketball for Cottey College in Missouri and Chavez stay in Oklahoma to play soccer at Mid America Christian University in Oklahoma City.
KTEN asked both athletes about their most cherished moments at Ardmore high school.
"I really just think everything through the last four years," Potts said. "Getting to know my teammates, getting to know my coaches, forming bonds. I know that I'm going to be friends with my teammates for the rest of my life and I'm going to have the experience under my belt. No matter how college goes, I know that I tried my best in high school and I made it to where I need to go, so it's only up from here."
"My best friend has definitely helped me," Chavez said. "We've played together for so long. A lot of the girls, they always boost me up. They say I'm really good, good enough to go play at the next level. They are always complimenting me, so that's a lot of positivity."
