Lone Grove, Oklahoma (KTEN) - Lone grove is headed to the Class 4A State Tournament. The longhorns face undefeated Cushing on Thursday.

Head coach Tyler Pybas wants his boys to focus on their game plan and stick to what they've been doing all season long.

Four senior leaders on the team shared their thoughts on how to take down the tigers.

"If we go out there and play like we can, I think we have a pretty good chance of beating them," senior left fielder Trent Denney said. "We got to play small ball and do everything right."

"We're going to have to come out there and play our game," senior infielder Kyle Miller said. "And throw it well, pitch it well, hit it well, just all around."

"We've beat probably the 3A state champs, the 5A state champs, the 2A state champs, so that really sticks out to me," senior second basemen Jackson Grace said. "They're probably going to win theirs, so we should go and win ours."

"We're going to have to locate locate locate," senior infielder Cale McLean said. "We need to make sure our off-speeds are on and make plays on defense."

The Longhorns face Cushing Thursday, May 11 at 6:30pm at Edmond Memorial Field.
