EDMOND, Okla. (KTEN) - Sheer joy rained over the Rattan Rams' program, bringing home their first baseball title since 2015.

Rattan beat Sterling 11-3 on Monday to win the OSSAA Class A title. The Rams have been frequent visitors at the state tournament but have often failed to get over the hump, which is what made this title so special for coaches and players.

"All these boys, I've coached them since they were about nine years old," said Rattan head coach Michael Clay. "So this is a big one."

"It's amazing because we hear about it constantly," said Rattan senior catcher Seth Springfield. "We're always supposed to do something big... so to finally come up and play like we're supposed to and win it all, it's just an amazing feeling all around."
