Memorial Day - For the morning, temperatures will remain in the 60s and 70s area wide with partly cloudy skies. By the afternoon, temperatures will warm to the 80s, with isolated thunderstorm coverage beginning in the late afternoon. While these storms will not be severe, gusty winds, lightning, and brief moderate rainfall will be possible, so it will be important to head indoors if outside when a storm comes, particularly on a lake. Storm coverage will be spotty, with only around 40 percent of Texoma likely seeing thunderstorms.

Looking Ahead - Scattered storm chances over the next few days with sub-severe storms possible. Isolated rain/storm chances stick around through the next week. Rain totals up to 2" are possible over the next seven days. The first Hot Summer Nights of the year in downtown Sherman looks to have fair weather conditions for now with scattered shower/storm chances and temps in the mid to upper 80s. A weak cold front arrives Saturday night that could bring beneficial rainfall into Sunday morning with a slight cool down to the low 80s.
