SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) - For the first time since 2017, the Sherman Bearcats are heading to the UIL state baseball playoffs.

Sherman went 13-15 this season and will play Ennis in a best of three series starting Thursday. This will be the first time Sherman has made the playoffs under fourth-year head coach Chris Anderson but the Bearcats are ready for the moment.

"It's always been the plan, it's always been the goal," said Anderson. "These guys have bought in to a lot of what we do as a system and they're seeing results."
