Denison's Kurtenbach continues to give back
DENISON, Texas (KTEN) - Denison four-sport athlete Joshua Kurtenbach has been a leader at Denison High School from the moment he arrived his junior year.
Kurtenbach's senior year project, a 4-H book and stuffed animal drive shattered records from previous years. With thousands of items going to kids in need, he wanted to continue his project from the winter into the spring.
That is why Denison held "sting the diamond," before the Yellow Jackets 11-1 baseball win over Melissa. During the event, lightly used baseball items were given and received to go to Denison Youth Sports.
"It's a dream come true really," said Kurtenbach. "Rolling it over to baseball season, we could tell we have a lot of donations already and it's pretty powerful."
