GARVIN COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — The driver of the tractor-trailer rig that troopers say caused a deadly crash on Interstate 35 Wednesday afternoon is now behind bars in Garvin County.

Tony Aghaji-Enweremadu of West Palm Beach, Florida is facing two counts of first-degree manslaughter.

Troopers say Aghaji-Enweremadu, 38, failed to stop for traffic congestion on the interstate and struck six other vehicles.

Two people pinned inside wreckage of a car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Five 18-wheelers and a passenger vehicle were involved in this deadly crash on I-35 on April 12, 2023.
