LONE GROVE, Okla. (KTEN) — A former Lone Grove Public Schools student is in protective custody following threatening social media posts directed at the district.

Lone Grove police Chief John Terry said district administrators were made aware Saturday of several social media posts perceived as threatening.

Terry told KTEN that the individual — whose name hasn't been released — was suffering a mental health crisis, did not have access to firearms, and was placed in protective custody, "which is where he'll remain until he receives the care he needs."
