Southeastern Cheer headed to Nationals
DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) - For the first time ever, Southeastern Oklahoma State's competition cheer team is headed to the D2 National Invitational.
The school held a sendoff showcase for the squad at Bloomer Sullivan Arena on Thursday night which was packed with athletes of teams that the cheer team usually roots on.
"We work all year long to support the sports teams here on campus," said Southeastern head cheer coach Kailea Marshall. "For them to be able to have this opportunity for themselves is just really exciting for them."
The Savage Storm will compete against three other teams in their division on Sunday in Hays, Kansas.
