WHITEWRIGHT, Texas (KTEN) - Kevin Wiggins will not be returning for a fifth season as head football coach and athletic director at Whitewright. Sources tell KTEN that superintendent Brian Garner wanted to extend Wiggins' contract.

However, the school board wanted to go in another direction, according to Wiggins.

Wiggins leaves Whitewright as the eighth winningest coach in school history and led the Tigers to the playoffs in three of his four seasons there.

"I truly believe I left things better than I found it," said Wiggins in a phone call with KTEN.
