VAN ALSTYNE, Texas (KTEN) — We know who will be wowing crowds at this year's Sounds of Summer event in the Van Alstyne Central Social District.

This is the city's second year for the music festival, and it starts May 13 with Neal McCoy.

It will end September 9 with Infinite Journey, a Journey tribute band.

"We had Joe Nichols out here in October and we had over 6,000 people at this park, so it was a great night of events," said Kandi Hessel the city's event coordinator. "We always have our local police department, our fire department out here in case any accidents or issues should arise. But we've been fortunate and haven't had any issues, and we're looking forward to continuing that for sure for this year."

Admission to the Sounds of Summer is free.
