DENISON, Texas (KTEN) — Members of the Denison Rotary Club were Friday morning cleaning up the the railroad overpass leading to the Eisenhower Birthplace near the intersection of Houston and Crawford streets.

They're preparing for the installation of a new mural honoring the celebrated military figure and the nation's 34th president.

"The Rotary Club is outreach and international and local," said club member Josh Massey. "I think we do a good job on the international scale, and we're just wanting to improve the presence we have locally, and so, instead that is a group that puts money to things, we just want to be visible. This gives us an opportunity that will last for a while."

The new Eisenhower mural will be located on both sides of the overpass entrances.
