(KTEN) — The former executive director of the MORE Foundation — a nonprofit providing scholarships to Carter County students — has pleaded guilty to federal charges of embezzlement, bank and tax fraud.

Federal investigators say Roslyn Haile embezzled more than $428,000 from the MORE Foundation's account at BancFirst.

Haile, 64, also pleaded guilty of failing to report more than $63,000 of income while serving as the charity organization's chief between 2017 and 2021.

She could face 30 years in federal prison and a fine up to $1.25 million when sentenced.
