LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — The arrest of two Marietta men led to more than Love County deputies expected.

Derek Mertz, 47, and Joshua McGuffin, 33, face gun charges, along with additional counts of child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad was also called in. After extensive testing, they determined a batch of liquid ingredients were one chemical off from being explosive.

Both men remain jailed.
