SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — Women Rock, a Sherman nonprofit with a mission of increasing breast cancer awareness, has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Santander Consumer USA Foundation.

The organization plans to use funds for its Taking it to the Streets mobile education program.

"Our goal is to serve 1,000 people," said Women Rock CEO Luann Daniel. "I'm sure we're going to find someone that probably is going to have an issue already that needs to be addressed."

She added that the money will help stretch their efforts farther south.
