Thursday Evening - Isolated thunderstorms continue this evening with the main threats being localized heavy rain and lightning. Severe weather is not expected. Temps hovering in the upper 80s.

Looking Ahead - Another round of afternoon thunderstorms Friday. Timing will be from noon through sunset. Lightning and heavy downpours are our highest concern, especially with all the outdoor events going on! A marginal risk for severe weather has been placed for the I-35 corridor Friday for the threat of damaging winds and quarter size hail. Saturday, the entire viewing area is under a level 2 out of 5 risk. A line of strong to severe storms appears to move in around 6/7 am and could possibly last through the evening. Early morning events at the Sand Bass Festival could be delayed. Remember, when thunder roars, head indoors! We want all who are out and about this weekend to stay weather aware and safe! High heat looks to move in by the middle of next week with highs in the mid 90s. Heat index values could exceed the triple digits!
