DURANT, Okla. – Briley Moon stepped to the free throw line with 1.2 seconds left and knocked down a pair of free throws to lift Southeastern to a 65-63 win over conference-leading Harding on Saturday afternoon in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
 
The win lifts the Savage Storm to 4-7 on the season and 2-4 in Great American Conference play.
 
SE trailed 39-33 at the half and would eventually tie the game with 2:07 to play in the third quarter and Grace Alverson closed the period with a three to give the Storm a 51-50 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
 
Southeastern would lead by as many as five points in the fourth before the Bisons chipped away at the lead, knotting the game at 63-63 on a layup with 4.4 seconds to play.
 
SE would call a timeout to advance the ball to the frontcourt, setting up the play where Moon would draw the foul, sending her to the line where she hit both shots to lift the Storm to the win.
 
Grace Alverson had a career-high 20 points which included a 6-of-10 effort from beyond the arc while shooting 7-of-13 from the floor.
 
Caitlin Kobiske was right on her heels with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting while adding a 5-of-8 effort at the free throw line.
 
Moon hauled in a team-high eight rebounds while Aimee Alverson was next in line with four boards.
 
Aimee Alverson and Moon each finished with four assists while Kobiske dished out three.
 
The Storm shot over 50 percent in the second half, shooting 57.1 percent from the floor in the third and 50.0 in the fourth as they erased the halftime deficit.
 
SE trailed most of the first half, seeing a nine-point deficit in the first quarter which would reach as high as 15 points in the second quarter.
 
Southeastern would start its comeback late in the second quarter, using a 9-0 run to bring the deficit to five po9ints before HU answered with a free throw to lead 39-33 at halftime.
