DAVIS, Okla. (KTEN) — Residents reveled in "A Very Davis Christmas" on Thursday evening.

Folks made their way downtown early to soak up the holiday cheer. Children were able to meet Santa Claus himself and one of his helpers.

Drawing the crowds also provided an early gift to the city's economy.

"We just have a strong relationship where we support each other and really work toward economic development in promoting our community," said Brandy Baldwin, executive director for the Davis Chamber of Commerce.

Baldwin said more events will continue through the year in an effort to promote the city.
