KINGSTON, Oklahoma (KTEN) -- "God had just laid it on my heart to do everything," said Jimmy Bishop with the Make Enos Great Again (MEGA) Food Pantry. "And actually I don't even know how I'm doing it, it's just the grace of God."

Bishop has been running MEGA for more than three years. His pantry, located at his Striper Guide Service shop in Kingston, is the only pantry in the area open 24/7.

"People don't like to be seen up here and so they'll come up here during the night, and stuff," said Bishop. "And get stuff. It works out pretty good, and even the homeless will come and grab stuff."

And for three years Bishop has also been providing turkeys and hams for those in need during Thanksgiving.

"It started out from five people," said Bishop. "Then last thanksgiving had over 5,000 people come to it. And it's not just this area, it's North Texas, Bryan County, Love County, I've had people come from all over."

And this year, Thursday the 17th, they handed out 430 turkeys and hams. They decided to open up again Tuesday the 22nd in case anyone else wasn't able to come before.

Which is something many are grateful for.

"Means everything to me, he's blessed several people around the country, around here," said Marilyn, a patron. "And he's doing a great job and I appreciate everything he's done for us."

MEGA does accept donations and if you are in need for food or clothing they'll be open. 24/7.
