SULPHUR, Okla. (KTEN) — Friday's annual Veterans Day parade in downtown Sulphur was coordinated by the Murray County American Legion.

It honored those Murray County residents to proudly served their country in the military.

The parade featured appearances from veterans organizations as families lined the street showing to express their support.

"Just a few days ago we had an election, and millions of Americans over the years have served to maintain that right," said Air Force veteran Shawn Sharper. "Today is the day where we get to say 'thank you.'"

The Davis High School Marching Band also took part in Friday's parade.
