DURANT, Okla. (KTEN) — The Bryan County Veterans of Foreign Wars post hosted its annual Honor Ride on Friday afternoon.

This year's theme: "To die with honor is to live forever."

The ride was led by Commander Don Papin, who served in the Vietnam War. The group made stops at Bryan County nursing homes and retirement centers delivering special certificates to those who served.

"We start out, there is five in Durant; we go down to Calera; and this year, we have added Kemp," Papin said. "They unbelievably had 40-50 veterans down there that we will be presenting."

The vets also received a challenge coin from the VFW.
