(KTEN) -- According to a recent study from Price4Limo, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport had the most cancellations of any domestic airport in the 12 months ending in June 2022: 10,612. Their data comes from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics

While many holiday trips are planned, some Texomans are worried about how efficient their travel will be this year.

"There is a pilot shortage right now; I am dating a pilot, and his dad is also a pilot," said local resident Grace Cameron. "That has a lot of effect on holiday travel; I would recommend going to flight school so we can get more pilots."

According to Price4Limo, this travel season may be one of the busiest we've seen.

"Travel is a lot more busy than it used to be, especially after the pandemic," said spokesperson Merritt Ryan. "It really went 0 to 100 when people started traveling again, so it is always good to have a backup plan."

Pilot shortages, high gas prices and inflation also add stress to this year's holiday season. These ingredients have Texomans hoping they escape the holiday season cancellation-free.
