ADA, Oklahoma (KTEN) - The Ada Cougars had high expectations coming into the season with their first full offseason under head coach Brad O'Steen. The Cougars successfully flipped a 3-7 season in 2021 to 7-3 in 2022.

Ada also played one of the toughest schedules in the state with teams like Broken Bow, Hilldale, and Poteau in-district as well as McAlester and Ardmore earlier in the season.

"Our coaches always say iron sharpens iron," said Ada senior wide receiver Andrew Hughes. "You play the better teams it makes us better. I like playing the better teams just to prove ourselves honestly."

Ada heads to Wagoner on Friday at 7 p.m. in their first-round match up.
