Sherman Police and Fire to face off on the softball diamond for a good cause
SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) -- Sherman First Responder's are ready to swing for the fences in a softball game benefiting the Grayson County Children's Advocacy Center this Saturday, October 22nd at 1:00 P.M. in Fairview Park.
Sergeant Brett Mullen with the Sherman Police Department expects to see the sibling rivalry in full force.
"Probably a little smack talking going on out there… It's all in good fun. So, we're going to bring that out here and put our athletic skills on display" said Sergeant Mullen.
Regardless of the winner, it's all for a good cause.
"All donations will be going toward the children's advocacy center" said Sergeant Mullen. "Each association, both police and fire, will also be donating $200 a piece toward that. Any citizens that want to come and cheer on the police department, or the fire department, can come on out. There will be a donation box if they'd like to donate as well."
There will also be bounce houses for the kids to enjoy.
Sherman Police and Sherman Fire invite anyone with free time to join them Saturday for an afternoon of fun.
