SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — The traveling Happy Circus stopped at Sherman's Fairview Park this weekend.

"I go to Mexico, I go to all over the world," said Miroslaba, one of the performers. "I go and come back and the circus life."

Many Happy Circus regulars have been in the show for years.

"When I was 10-years-old in the show," said performer Sebastian. "When I see the people scream, the applause, it feels like, 'Woah!'"

"He's 21 and I'm 19," added Alexa, Sebastian's partner and sister. "So we have like. 19 years in the circus, and he's 21 so he has 21 years in the circus."

For these performers, the circus life is the life they love.

"Bro, you want to do something? You have to think practice... practice every day," said Sebastian. "That's what my dad say, 'You have to practice,' and I was like, 'No, I don't want it.'  But now I know what my dad say; I see the people like it, and I understand why my dad say, 'Practice.'"

The Happy Circus opened at 7:30 Friday evening and scheduled several shows on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can enjoy the usual circus fare — juggling and balancing acts — but there will also be a magic show and a giant King Kong animatronic figure.

"The second part, it's the magic show; the first part we have Kong," said magician Eriko Trevensoli. "Beautiful Kong, 30 feet high. It's incredible, incredible animal, but incredible machine, the technology."
