HOWE, Texas (KTEN) - The Howe Bulldogs did not put definite expectations on their 2022 season. First-year head coach Lance Bryan inherited a program that had not won a game since 2019.

The message was simple - win games. Howe has done that off to a 4-1 start this season. They play in one of the hardest districts in Texas,  8-3A (II), with programs like Leonard, Gunter and Bells, the next three teams on their schedule. However, the Bulldogs plan to continue their new tradition of "lighting it up."

"Honestly, I was confident in our team going into the season," said Howe Senior quarterback Austin Haley. "We have a lot of experience, we've been young the past couple of years and I've wanted to light it up, I love that coach Bryan has brought that to us."
