Collinsville out to hot start heading into district play
COLLINSVILLE, Texas (KTEN) - The Collinsville Pirates have already matched their win total from a year ago sitting 4-1 this season with a 1-0 record in district play.
A big reason for that has been their ability to score, at-will it seems, on offense. So far, the Pirates are averaging 40 points per game.
"We've adjusted our offense and the tempo of our offense," said Collinsville head coach Garrett Patterson. "It's really simpler than anything I've ever done and it's really just about getting pace high enough to where it makes defenses uncomfortable."
Collinsville will host Celeste (5-1) in their second district game this Friday at 7 p.m.
