LOVE COUNTY, Okla. (KTEN) — A two-vehicle crash near Marietta shut down traffic on State Highway 32 Monday morning.

The Love County Sheriff's Office said the accident, about three miles east of Marietta, involved a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the big rig was entering the highway from Loves Valley Road when the eastbound pickup hit the trailer at around 7:15 a.m.

The pickup truck driver — identified by OHP as 36-year-old Miranda Holaday of Whitesboro, Texas — had to be extricated from the wreckage by Marietta firefighters. She was transferred by air ambulance to a hospital in Denton, Texas, with critical injuries.

Troopers said Holaday was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the semi tractor-trailer was not injured. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Highway 32 at the intersection with Loves Valley Road was closed to traffic for nearly four hours while the wreckage was cleared.
