DENISON, Texas (KTEN) — Grayson College is reducing its tax rate by a little more than two cents.

In spite of the reduction, the college will bring in additional tax revenue due to the county's rapid growth.

This increase in revenue will go toward supporting the college and its faculty.

"We have a new surgical tech coming up on board, and we're investing $250,000 for that," said Carolyn Kasdorf, Grayson College's vice president of business services. "We also invested in our faculty and staff here, and that's where we put $1.9 million towards their salary."
