Sherman man arrested after missing woman found dead

SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — Police said a man was under arrest for murder Friday after a Sherman woman was found dead late Thursday night.
Investigators said Elizabeth Clarice Harrison, 28, had been reported missing and endangered on Wednesday. Her body was discovered late Thursday night in a wooded area near Bethany Road and FM 1417.
Sherman police Sgt. Brett Mullen said as a result of the investigation into Harrison's death, a man identified as 31-year-old Brandon Joseph Tom of Sherman was arrested Friday and booked into the Grayson County Jail on multiple charges including murder, aggravated sexual assault, and abandoning/endangering a child.
Harrison's disappearance prompted an intensive search involving K9s, drones and foot patrols.
