Grayson County child sex offender suspect arrested in Florida
SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — A Grayson County man wanted for child sex assault charges has been arrested in Florida.
Grayson County District Attorney Brett Smith said Billey Bounds, 28, was nabbed Monday by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
Bounds was indicted in June for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child.
"[He's] about the 13th or 14th fugitive we have apprehended all the way to California to Maine, Pennsylvania and even Mexico," Smith said. "That is why we have a member of our office that serves with the U.S Marshals region."
In another case, the DA's office said serial drunk driver Terrance Royal is going to prison for a long time.
Royal was charged with his ninth DWI for crashing his truck into a pole at a gas station. He was sentenced Monday to 30 years behind bars.
"Eight prior convictions, so this would be his ninth conviction," Smith said.
