ADA, Okla. (KTEN) — Mention anything to do with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani and you know folks are going to come out of the woodwork.

In Ada on Friday, Carol Cash Large, a Shelton family friend, held a book signing for her new biography about the famous couple.

The book, Happy Anywhere (named after the popular song the couple sings), offers a look back at the early life and career of Blake Shelton.

Large's book features funny and heartwarming stories that the close family friend shares.

"The McSwain Theatre [in Ada] is the very first place Blake was ever paid for singing; he would've been 16," Large said.

While the prologue for the book features a tribute to Ada, the foreword is written by the country superstar himself.
