DENISON, Texas (KTEN) - Longtime Grayson Vikings' head baseball coach Dusty Hart left the program after more than total 20 years to take the head coaching position at Blinn College.

Grayson, one of the best junior college programs in the country, went a bit outside of the box on its recent hire for a new skipper. Cal Hernandez is the man for the job at just 26 years old.

However, Hernandez still brings plenty of experience. He was a star at Coppell High School, Cisco College, Oral Roberts University and was eventually drafted into the Seattle Mariners organization in 2016.

"I think that's the most beneficial thing, being so close to a lot of there ages," said Hernandez on Thursday. "I'm here to win, that's what I want to do."
