Ardmore sets plans for new fire station
ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — The City of Ardmore's fiscal year began on July 1, and its first major investment is a replacement for Fire Station No. 2 at 2 K Street SE.
The budget for the new firehouse is approximately $2.5 million, and the funds were approved by City Commission in June.
Corner Greer and Associates is the Ardmore-based architectural firm appointed to lead the project. One of the goals set by the city is for the new facility to look similar to Fire Station No. 3 on Veterans Boulevard.
Planning for the construction is still in preliminary stages with, no set time to begin. The new station is expected to bring a big boost to Ardmore's fire department.
