SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — A fugitive facing warrants in Grayson and Fannin counties is now on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list.

John Robert Havener, 52, violated his parole in March after being freed on bond for a drug charge.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said less than a week later, the Fannin County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for assaulting a public servant and evading arrest.

Last month, the Grayson County Sheriff's Office issued another warrant on drug charges.

“We are hopeful that drawing some attention to this dangerous fugitive will lead to his prompt apprehension,” said Grayson County District Attorney Brett Smith in a written statement.

DPS said Havener should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-252-TIPS. A $5,000 reward is being offered.
