ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Ardmore police are investigating shootings at two locations during the early morning hours on Wednesday.

The first report of gunfire came in around 1 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of F Street Northwest.

Not long after that,  police responded to another shooting at a home two miles southeast in the 900 block of Springdale Loop. Two suspects were detained and brought into the station for questioning.

"It appears at this point there were some issues or some beef with these people, and the shooters and the people connected to this residence, but it's not something that appears to be random," said police spokesperson Sgt. Juan Galicia. "It looks like there is something motivating these subjects to go out and commit these types of crime."

One woman who lives nearby says the recent shootings have her on high alert.

“Scary very scary, it's not safe. You have got to be more cautious and keep your eyes open don't just think the car coming up behind you is safe,” Ardmore resident Glenda Schuff said.

No arrests have been made so far, and no one was hurt in either shooting incident.
