(KTEN) -- The Oklahoma Department of Human Services is accepting online applications from families who need help paying summertime electric bills.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program provides a one-time stipend up to $500 that can assist with utility expenses from June through August. Eligibility is based on income and family size.
