How Denison businesses are using social media to grow
DENISON, Texas (KTEN) — Two small businesses based in Denison are both using TikTok as a way to attract customers.
Pop Around the Corner is going viral, with one of its short video clips generating more than 1.8 million views.
And that, in turn, resulted in a sales explosion.
"Our online sales just went spiked high," said owner Derrick Roberts. "We were getting 20 to 30 to 40 new sales a day online from that. Within just a three-to-four week period from that video going online we had a little over 7,000 people — just from TikTok — visit our website."
410 Collective + Coffee is using both TikTok and Instagram Reels to seek out new customers.
"Anytime I do that and post them, our followers go up," said owner Natalie Popplewell. "People who didn't know we were here find us... it is extremely important."
Roberts said he believes as the world relies more on social media, businesses will continue to utilize online platforms in order to generate more revenue.
