Silo looks to win fifth straight baseball championship
SILO, Oklahoma (KTEN) - The Silo Rebels know how to win. For the last nine years, the Rebels have played in the state championship game, winning six of them.
This group is unique because there is only one senior on the team, outfielder Mason Urbany. With each team, comes new roles and responsibilities, which keeps the Silo players hungry for another championship.
Multiple players said that this group was the closest of all of their teams during their time at Silo.
"We're like brothers," said Urbany. "This is the most bonded team I've ever had."
"They hang out together, they go to church together, said Silo head coach Billy Jack Bowen. "These guys are good friends."
Silo starts their quest for another ring against Calera on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Palmer Field Dolese Park.
