DENISON, Texas (KTEN) -- On Saturday, May 7, the Frontier Village in Denison hosted their annual "Living History" event. 

This event steps back in time to see what life was like in the 1880's.

Historical homes is open to the visitors and many reenacted how life was like back then. 

The president with Frontier Village says it's important to remember history. 

"You can't go forward without going backward, " said President of Frontier Village, Dr. Charla Harris. "So, it's important to know our history, to know where we came from. To know what mistakes were made or what weren't, and how our ancestors lived"

The funds for the event went to help preserve the homes at the village.
